About the storyVintage brings a sweet rush to Anatolia’s this tiny cute city called Nevsehir and to neighborhood towns. On one side, juicy, fresh grapes are up for sell and it is time for all the hard work of labor’s worth that means it is harvest time, on the other side it is time for every each house to make the best medicine invented ever for themselves, grape molasses. September and October means vintage time in this region of Anatolia, grapes are picked up, and mostly being sold in Kayseri markets. Buyers from Ankara, Konya, Adana and even far east city like Mus come to buy most famous, delicious grapes. Most of the grapes are sold to wine producers around the region. The most well-known grape types are called finger grape, white Emir grape and black Dirmit grape. Grapes are being produced in 23 thousand 500 hundred hectare in Nevsehir city and around it. When the total of vineyards considered Nevsehir city is the biggest in Turkey but unfortunately this doesn’t affect their better quality cause by quality measurements it is in the third place after Manisa and Antep. |
